And so a year is ending...

I'm not a TRUE blogger at heart. I do not write frequently. Though, today it seems only right for me to do so. Who would have guessed that I would become a Lecturer in Lim Kok Wing University of Technology? I for one didn't.

Amidst all the papers I have to photocopy@print, amidst all the political drama here in the working place, amidst the troubles of my long distance relationship with my boyfriend, I find that I am content. Not deliriously happy, mind you. But content nonetheless.

So what have I been up to in a full year? Let's see...

I have changed job.
I have learned that I am indeed quite anti-social.
I have understood that I cannot expect too much of any relationship (family, friends, boyfriend, teacher-students, co-workers, etc)
I have agreed and disagreed with a whole bunch of people who up until today are friends with me still. (I hope)
I have learned that you can't be too clingy to some people for all the obvious reasons.

And I have learned a lot more. Of course, the one thing I need to learn now is to organize my time so I'd have enough sleep.

I salute all the teachers in the world, especially those who are passionate about this profession, and one of them would be my own mother.

Cheers and all the best for your 2010!
